A similar cruise to Titanic

By Admin, January 4, 2010

2012 is of course going to be the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic sinking. A company is setting up a trans-Atlantic cruise to do the exact same route.

The cruise is set to depart on the 8th April 2012 on the same day and the same time as the original ship did back in the day. It is also leaving from the exact same port as the original which of course is Southampton. Once it has left the port it will then stop at Cobh in Ireland in the same way that the real thing did to make the experience even more life like.

The new vessal is set to make a stop at 11.40 where the Titanic first hit the iceburg. The vessal is likely to stay in this area till around 2am.20am which was when the ship was fully under water.

This is certainly not going to be a disrespectful trip as the vessal is set to have a short memorial service during these hours. Lectures about the sinkign as well as food and music from the time will also be present.

The ship itself is going to be home to 710 cabins and will hold 1,350 passengers and a crew of around 150. Although this is the best gift for a history lover this isnt going to come cheap. This is truly going to be the luxury cruise of a life time.

It could be that you are a fan of the film in which you are still likely to be interested in this as a lot of the film was based on the historic event even though the main Rose and Jack were fictional.

Of course most of the cheaper cabins for the price above have already sold out so perhaps if you are interested in taking a cruise you should think about taking another cruise like one of those Rhine River Cruises or perhaps Silversea cruises would be a better move to make.
