With all the Christmas parties fast approaching, it is imperative to book up the perfect venue for the office bash.

In my experience, these office bashes can get really out of hand and in my case, very messy.

For instance, I recall a do where I didn’t even make it to the restaurant.What happened was I drank and drank at my friend’s house before we ventured out to the restaurant.Regrettably I drank so much wine that I was so sick that I couldn’t even stand up, and there was no chance of going to the restaurant.

It always seems such a great idea at the time, but as is normally the case, the more I drink, the more relaxed I get and eventually I end up a right mess.

This year, I am desperate not to make a fool of myself. I want to remain fairly sober (fat chance).

However, if I should have too much to drink (foregone conclusion) there will hopefully be some decent bar furniture I can prop myself up against at the local pub. I know there won’t be a problem with the restaurant furniture, but you know what these pubs can sometimes be like. They are all modern and futuristic with no seating areas. I actually preferred the cosy snug areas back in the olden days.

I am sure that once our meal has ended my work colleagues will be somehow getting me out of the restaurant. I will probably be staggering upto the local nightclub, if I am still in one piece. Once in the club, I know I will be okay because there is loads of funky club furniture around that I can collapse onto.

With any luck I will be dancing the whole night and not making a complete idiot of myself.Mind you, if I didn’t make a complete idiot of myself, what would they all talk about in the office next day??
