If you have to go anywhere in your lifetime, you must visit India. There are so many different places in India that need to be visited that it would take about 6 months to visit every part and spend a couple of days there. However the most influential parts of India are probably Mumbai and Delhi.

If food is your interest, then India is the place for you, some of the most exotic food in the world originates from India, including some of the hottest food as well. There are millions of tourists every year that visit Mumbai just so that they can try out the fantastic food and see some great cricket matches. Mumbai is becoming a very well established city in this world, and has advanced greatly over the past 20 years. Mumbai has now taken over a large portion of the economic gains in India, and is one of the most efficient cities in the world. Tourists have been more keen to visit India, mainly because of the advancements in this countries cities.

If you want to see somewhere that has massive religious bearing, then you should definitely visit Delhi. In the News and the limelight Delhi has taken over the world as the most popular city in India, with key points in a Trade Route. Delhi as well as Mumbai has greatly increased in its technological advancement, with a stable transport system and some very luxurious hotels. New Delhi is the capital of India, and it is quite a prospering capital too. Many business men and women reside around here, and the education is phenomenal. Rickshaws have been referred to as the backbone of cities and towns in India, the supply one of the fastest forms of travel, and it is something that every tourist wants to try, they are fast and dangerous, much like a roller coaster actually.

If you are interested in maybe trying something else instead of India, I recommened Egypt for great Luxury holidays, Hurghada holidays have really taken off, and so have the Sharm El Sheikh holidays, now becoming the number 1 holiday in Egypt!

Celebrities capabilities have now become noticed by Thomas Cook. All they need to do is stick them on Television, they same way everyone else would use them, turn them into trained advertising chimps. Thomas Cook has taken a slightly different approach. This tour operator dedicates most of it’s time to the British public. Jamie Redknapp is a very well known figure. His Wife Louise is now on a judging panel for a dance contest, viewed by millions. Most people in the UK really like this couple, there is nothing bad to say about them!

So what is that makes this advert even more special. Jamie and Louise are very favourable, especially in the public’s eyes. They embark on a holiday with Thomas Cook and are seen relaxing on the beach, going for a meal, nothing to fancy. This can give some people the impression that, well, “if they can go there, maybe we can live like celebrities for a week or two as well”. It is extremely difficult for me to believe that these two celebrities actually would consider staying in the same resorts as us, with the cash flow they have.

Since they have been in the Nintendo Wii adverts they are loved by the whole public. I am happy for them, I think they have done well. Thomas Cook provide holidays from the UK across the world, and have been doing so for over 100 years. This also very successful business seems to have captured a perfect partnership with the Redknapp’s.

Let’s take a second though and look at it from the other side. Now really do we expect to see celebrities in the same buildings as us more common people, no we don’t. Surely these two are lying to us about the hotel they are really staying at? Somehow I do not think that this holiday is going to be all that great.

Sharm El Sheikh Holidays are a favourite of the Celebrity demographic, showered in luxury hotels, however saying that Egypt holidays have been popular with the entire country. So is Thomas Cook wrong to be employing role models in their adverts, of course not, I have been on Hurghada holidays, what fun it was, no celebrities spotted though!

Thomas Cook has found a way to make money out of celebrities. By using them in the same way as every other business on the planet would, by turning them into Advert monkeys. Thomas Cook has taken a slightly different approach. This tour operator has been largely dedicated to its UK customers, so used a celebrity loved by all in the UK. If someone were to ask anyone who Jamie Redknapp was they would probably know straight away. Louise is a judge on one of the UK’s most watched shows currently on TV. Both of these people are loved by the British public!

Why is this advert such a success. These two celebrities are easy for the public to relate too. They can be seen travelling with Thomas Cook to a modest resort, and relaxing on the beach. This advert intends to give people the impression they can live like a celebrity as well. I do however doubt very much that Mr and Mrs Redknapp do stay in these resorts on a regular basis, but never mind what do any of us know about the lifestyle of a celebrity.

Since they have been in the Nintendo Wii adverts they are loved by the whole public. This couple have worked well together, and do very well together. Thomas Cook provide holidays from the UK across the world, and have been doing so for over 100 years. A combination of these celebrities and this specific business has seemed to take off very well.

Surely we should look at this from all angles though. Now really do we expect to see celebrities in the same buildings as us more common people, no we don’t. Surely these two are lying to us about the hotel they are really staying at? Somehow I do not think that this holiday is going to be all that great.

I thought i would provide what the tour operators expect to be the top holidays of this year in the luxury department!

New Yorkers have declared that Sri Lanka could be the next number 1 luxury holiday of 2010, but there are many people that disagree with this arguement. Although it will cost a lot for you to reach, you won’t have to spend barely a penny when you get here. The views that surround this luxurious and extremely relaxing location are perfect for anyone that just wants to “Chill”.

The most luxurious place in the world, the Maldives (except Dubai). Each hotel has an island to itself, jetting out over the water. The Spa treatments are basically the only form of recreational activity here. If you do actually want to do something that involves movement, then you can always try the diving with whale sharks!

St Lucia, the Caribbean, this was bound to crop up at some point. Celebrities enjoy spending their holiday time in the Caribbean, so if you want to stalk them or live like them, this is where you should go. There are many places that you can stay, where the accommodation is a little cheaper and lower star rating. The best qualities about this place are the sea, sun and sand, great for you and your kids!

Sharm El Sheikh. Now this does have some mixed reviews, some people really like it, and some people don’t, but many people visit every year. Egypt receives a massive amount of tourists every year, and definitely deserves a position at the top of the list. If you are not sure about the accommodation, you have nothing to worry about, this is amazing and it is extremely cheap as well. This is by far and away one of the best places to indulge in some diving, the Red Sea offers everything from wreck diving to Shark Diving!

There are some others that are close to the top like Cuba holidays, any Caribbean holidays for that matter, and you never know you might find yourself indulging in Weddings abroad, suggest it to the Boyfriend, and see what happens!

There are so many different places in India that need to be visited that it would take about 6 months to visit every part and spend a couple of days there.
If food is your interest, then India is the place for you, some of the most exotic food in the world originates from India, including some of the hottest food as well. Cricket and the food that you can find in Mumbai has been critically acclaimed, with people dedicating much time to write about it.

I suppose I should introduce myself, I am Matthew, and the Last time I Flew, I may have passed out. More than 10 years ago was the last time I fainted when flying. It was pretty clear to me that something was wrong, yet I didn’t feel or think that I was scared of flying, it just happened. After all that mess happened, I decided to give planes a miss for as long as possible, having holidays in my own country was good enough for me. Then everything was going to change, the missus wanted to go abroad didn’t she, and all the way to Egypt, so no trains or cars!

Right, flashbacks of jumping on the plane happy as Larry and waking up on the other side (without any recollection of flight) started to happen… When I returned from my last holiday I passed out as well, however I have no idea why, and it was a while ago now, so I got a little scared! I decided to “Man Up” as one of my friends had told me and I didn’t say anything to my wife, I just got on the plane. At the beginning everything seemed fine, I had a steady heart rate, and I wasn’t sweating at all, things just seemed to be going very well. Then the engines started, and still, I was ok, even when we were moving to the run way I felt fine!

I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t pass out this time, or why I passed out the last time, everything just seemed to be fine this time. I had finally reached that stage where I could start to be excited about my holiday. I was eager to get back on the plane and get flying again. Everything just couldn’t stay going all smooth could it! Over the Tannoy I could hear the Captain announce we were heading into some rough turbulence. And he wasn’t joking it really was rough, in fact I thought that the plane was going to fall apart, I was being shaken all over the place, and to make things worse their was lightening outside. And then all of sudden it stopped, but my heart didn’t. I never thought I would be saying this, but I kind of wish I blacked out!

Egypt holidays Didn’t actually appeal to me that much, and i never went back, next up was a decision between Maldives holidays or Sri Lanka holidays, both involve a aeroplane!

Swine Flu is still as strong as it ever was. Many of us fell under the false impression that Swine Flu was on its way out. We are now aware that Swine Flu has travelled almost the entire Globe now. Swine Flu is has been the planets enemy for a while now, but what are the symptoms that we can “really” expect to experience?

There are a few symptoms that are clearly distinguishable from the common flu and Swine Flu. Swine Flu is described as a virus that you either definately know you have, or you haven’t got it. Flu makes its way through the body at a slower rate, it takes around two days for it to get to it’s worst. Swine Flu acts much quicker, making the victim feel extremely bad in a short amount of time. The Symptoms that you get with Swine Flu are very much the same as those that you get from the Common Flu, such as Back aches and muscle ache, Nausea. The biggest and most noticeable difference in these Flu’s is that the Swine Flu one is much, much worse, all of the symptoms you would normally experience are terribly exacerbated.

Now the most recent news story to come out of Swine Flu is back at the holiday industry. Although the school half term time is supposed to be a time for families to go on holiday, it is proving to be particularly nasty for some that headed to Egypt, guards suspected they might have Swine Flu. These people have described their experiences as harrowing, and the place they were taken to to be a “hell hole”. Before the tourists even knew it, armed guards were alerted to the Childrens body heat as being “high”, and they were bundled into ambulances and taken to a nearby hospital. This has proved that the Swine Flu virus ont be going away quietly, and now with Premiership football players being diagnosed with the virus, it shows its still spreading.

Egypt holidays have taken a bit of a bashing recently; Caribbean holidays including St Lucia holidays have been very successful through the Swine Flu era.

Deciding on a country to visit can be easy when preparing for a holiday. When you then come to a conclusion on a country, the main problem starts, finding a place you want to visit? So to help out with this decision I will give you two destinations to have a look at! These two locations in Egypt are relatively close to each other, but we will start with the one further north.

This is Sharm El Sheikh, a truly great city, and considered by some to be the most beautiful of the Egyptian cities. This is one of the most luxurious places to visit, and great for any that are avid divers. Diving in Sharm offers any diver a great experience, from swimming with wildlife to wreck diving. If your not to keen on travelling around the desert on camels, then you can if you want travel with a quad bike! Sharm El Sheikh is in the centre of Egypt, so you have access to all of its surroundings, more importantly a short trip to Cairo. From here you can visit the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids. St Catherines Monastery is a gracious and glorious place to venture to. This building is one of the most important and most visited in the whole of Sinai.

This next wonderful location is south of Sharm El Sheikh, but next to the red sea, this is Hurghada. This is where Free Diving is biggest, being able to see the coral and wildlife in the shallows. If you still want to enjoy the underwater world and see all of the coral and wildlife, but don’t want to get wet, then you can always hitch a ride on one of the Glass Bottom boats that are around. Something that is recommended here and is different to Sharm is the Safaris. Tour Operators in Hurghada also give people the opportunity to go out into the desert on Jeeps and other sand buggies. It also gives you the chance to travel to villages like Bedduin, which are situated in the middle of the desert, and you can see how they live in this harsh climate.

So Egypt holidays sound good now, or perhaps Sharm El Sheikh holidays, or well if you really dont fancy either of these and just want to relax, maybe you should try Maldives holidays!

Many people argue about which drinks are the best and the most popular in the world. Just so that we are all clear on this, Beer is the best selling alcoholic drink in the world, not wine! Beer, there is no doubt that it is king of alcoholic drinks, but we want to look at some more specific areas of the world, not the entire planet. So let’s start somewhere random then move onto some larger places:

Cuba is the place of cocktails. Well in Cuba you have to indulge in the Cuba Libre, a very special drink to this country. The Cuba Libre is a very simple drink, consisting of a Cuban Rum (any will do, obviously the better quality the better), Coke and a lovely slice of lime. This drink may be a simple one, but everyone seems to like it. Like the Cosmopolitan, the Mojito is also a great favourite for tourists.

Egypt, this is our next stop. Egypt receive a lot more tourists than Cuba, it is after all much larger. Holiday Makers, just can’t resist Stella in Egypt. Everyone who reads this has probably just thought “what Artois”, and you would be wrong. This is actually a beer with 4.5%abv which is quite high for a gentle tasting beer. Heineken are actually the owners of the Brewery that supplies this drink.

America is the big one. So which one do you think it could be? Probably not what you would presume, but the fastest selling beer is a Budweiser beer, but not Bud. Unless some random people are buying it and storing it away, Bud Light is the biggest seller to tourists and locals. This is the drink that you can guzzle down in copious amounts without feeling damming effects of drunkenness for quite a while. Bud is very close, but these two are the complete front runners for alcoholic drinks in the United States.

So are you looking for Egypt holidays, Cuba holidays or how about something a little more random like Maldives holidays, where you can construct your own maybe more odd cocktail?
